Environment assignment with a moodswitch.

VFX with customizable path

This VFX was made using Unity’s VFX graph. This effect has multiple points to create an arc along. With these anchor points, I could pinpoint the start and end, and create variation in the arcs since there would be 5 instances.

Concept Moodboard

The assignment for the module Building Playful worlds was to make an environment with an interaction that created a mood switch.

We had to base our concept off of an AI generated image. I took inspiration from the hazy purple vibe, and came up with something more.

You have to activate 5 mystical obelisks. They power up the central obelisk, which causes the magic of the place to take over and create a new atmosphere.

Originally, there was lore with small creatures who were linked to these obelisks. Unfortunately, they had to be scrapped due to overscope.

Light baking

I learned how to use lightbaking in Unity for better performance. 

Asset textures

The first 3D foliage asset I ever made are the artisitc purple flowers. They were based on concept art of Lorenzo Lanfranconi.

The other foliage assets were re-used from another project of mine, which you can view here! 

I made the assets cooler toned to fit the vibe of this project.
